January 2008 Japan - Let me record Let me introduce
This is the last day of January 2008. So let's remind what happened in this month, and let's consider what kind of country we are living in, let's see ourselves by ourselves. On Jan 29th in Fujisawa a mother jumped down from 11F corridor of apartment and committed suicide after throwing her two sons to the ground 26 meter below. They all three were died. One son was 6 years old and another was 3 years old. A witness saw the moment she threw two sons. There is nothing information in detail on news. I know how dear 6 years old boy is, and also more adorable 3 years old boy. With painful feeling I imagine which one she threw in advance, elder or younger, or did they two boys know their destiny of suffering and death before that momnet happening. She was 33 years old. Nothing continued report. 29th was cold day, so top of apartment corridor must be cold with wind. On Jan 28th morning in Sendai a father killed his wife and daughter by cutting with knife and strangling with necktie. He was 53 years old, wife was 45, daughter was 14. He tried to kill more his son 21 and one another daughter 22 but failed. He set fire to his house and drown himself into pond nearby, but not died. According to article of news he planned to accomplish family suicide. In one report he had debt because he was borrowing money from money lending business to conceal the fact of losing his job. I saw this news at TV Asahi on 28th night. His house was even big and elegant as Japanese one. Izumi-ku where his residence district is high class residential area in Sendai. Daughter was good girl and had interview schedule of recommendation entrance examination for high school on 31th, 3 days after. So I am wondering. Is there any such kind of country in the world today ?
On Jan 27th afternoon in Noda a father committed suicide by hanging after killing his daughter by strangling with electric cord. He was 63 years old and daughter was 34 years. Daughter suffered a traffic accident on last March, and was bedridden by aftereffect deteriorating in this year. Police considered that he attempted to force double suicide. On Jan 15th early morning in Yamanashi a home was burned and found four bodies at the site of a fire. Father was 73, mother was 65, elder son was 37, younger son was 34. Police considered that case would be family suicide, But it is not clear that there was agreement of family or not. They had one serous reason that younger son had made truancy since his elementary school age so what is called "hikikomori". In news article neighborhood said that father and mother were working hard from early morning to late-night even in Saturday and Sunday in spite of such old age. Maybe there was something poverty issue.
On Jan 14th morning in Tokushima a terrible case was happened. According to news article eldest daughter 37 years attacked to kill all other three members of her family by kitchen knife in their apartment room. Mother 64 years and elder son 30 year were died by excessive bleeding from neck, and younger daughter 34 years had a serious wound but escaped death. Elder daughter tried to commit suicide by cutting her neck and wrist then but not achieved. Elder daughter had mental disease and had been going regularly to hospital. Maybe forced double suicide. I have been watching television news everyday but I don't remember this violent news. 14th was holiday of Coming-of-Age Day. At least it was not broadcasted in NHK news at seven o'clock on 14th. Getting back to the previous case I am supposing what was the situation and feeling of elder brother. He was 37 years old. There was nothing information about his occupation or working. It is no doubt that he had been seeing younger brother's trouble for long years. What did he thinking then on 15th morning.
And on Jan 10th in Hachinohe, so I already introduced this murder case what elder brother killed his mother 43 years and younger brother 15 years and younger sister 13 years by cutting with survival knife. It was very shocking news. About only this case we are facing a lot of detailed report including weekly magazine. Miserable and bizarre case. Well, I introduced 5 cases murder or double suicide cases above. All of five cases are related with family. Actually I found more cases as like above five but cannot write more because of tiredness and anxiety. What do you think about as Japanese one ? This is our today. This is our accurate history of January 2008. In the surface of Japan two political parties are showing "gasoline tax" fight in front of people with so frivolously and stupidly. But in deep of Japan the weak people cornered into severe circumstances are dying in such hell chart of family murder/double-suicide what parent kills children or son/daughter kills parent.
Honestly I can not believe this issue is happening in Japan my country. Not only so that I can not believe this kind of country is existing on today's world. I can not believe also that country is one of advanced countries joining OECD. Even in North Korea, the most worst country of all over the world we know, of course they are so much poor than us, but maybe we can not see such kind of ghostly family murder/forced double-suicide issue with a lot of case in very short time. Seeing above heavy mental deficiency cases I suppose that it might be the event somewhere in the dark country on the Middle Ages. I would like to hear you. Do you love Japan ?
